Organic products are gaining ground throughout the food industry. But to ensure confidence in its products, this sector, with its promising future, needs proper guarantees of their quality. Certisys is an officially approved body whose purpose is to guarantee the integrity of organic food right through the food chain. Established twenty years ago, our multicultural team operates not only in Belgium and Luxembourg but also throughout the rest of the world, in partnership with a growing number of farmers and food businesses. Besides control and certification, our role is to share and update both the expertise and the machinery, to ensure that producers offer the consumer food, which is as safe and healthy for people as it is for the environment.

• Our independence

Recognized in accordance with European Norm ISO-65 and accredited by the Authorities (_), we are entirely independent. Our role is to monitor the application of the laws relating to organic production.

• Our ethos

Certisys staff are all people who have personally committed themselves to the cause of organic farming and is completely independent. Their aim is sustainable development. They believe that only long-term investment will improve quality of life and encourage greater respect for the environment.

• Our partners

We have a vital, well-informed partnership with organic farmers and others in the industry, our preference is to meet face-to-face and on site, and to build relationships of trust within the different sectors of the industry.

We devote all our energies and commitment to the purely "Bio" sector. (So, for example, to avoid any ambiguity, we are not involved in certifying mixed production systems.) We are on hand to help producers and manufacturers as they make the switch to organic farming, explaining the legal requirements of bio farming, and so we also keep them up-to-date on the latest developments with regular newsletters.

Certisys awards the Belgian label of quality, Biogarantie ®, and is active in organic organizations like BioForum, which is a platform for Belgian producers and suppliers at national, regional and international level - a real springboard for launching enterprises into foreign markets.
